Environmental Hall Contact (EHC) Network

The Environmental Hall Contact Network has been established at the University of Buffalo to help improve upon the environmental sustainability of the University Residence Halls and Apartments by facilitating resident involvement in the Recycling Program and encouraging energy conservation habits. EHC's have responsibilities, which help make the Recycling Program more effective, and responsive problems which may arise.

What are an EHC responsibilities?

  • Students will be responsible for checking to see if signage is posted around the recycling bins and the garbage cans. When signage is needed, students will be responsible for collecting signage from their RA or from the network coordinator, and posting the signage in the appropriate locations.
  • Student will give a bi-monthly (Every other week) report on the condition of recycling in the area to which they are assigned. A form will be provided by the EHC network coordinator, and will be returned to the coordinator
  • Being an outlet for the Resident Advisors and residents to air their concerns about the environmental stewardship of the residence halls. EHC’s will share feedback with the EHC Network Coordinator.
